About Puget Hound

Puget Hound is the only pet care facility of its kind in Bellingham. Conveniently located close to both I-5 and Bellingham International Airport, it has over 20,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor activity space in the natural seclusion of the woods—while still just minutes from downtown. Your dogs are free to play, run, climb, explore, and wander in their very own fully-enclosed adventure camp. When the opportunity to purchase the business arose, we (the Scheffer family) had a vision for something truly special.

We opened Lynden pet hotel Rover Stay Over in 2010 to provide the compassion and luxury we’d want for our own pets. Local pet parents quickly felt our passion and we feel so lucky to have cared for thousands of dogs across Whatcom County. Now, we’re excited to bring the same quality of pet care to Puget Hound!

Puget Hound guests can expect a lot of special new amenities and upgrades now and in the future. Here are some of the fun changes we’ve already made:
